Many of you have contacted New Jersey American Water regarding rumors that we would be voluntarily shutting down water systems throughout the state.
This is not true. New Jersey American Water has been working around the clock to ensure our customers receive uninterrupted water service. We have heard other , unaffiliated systems, may be considering shutting down, but rest assured that New Jersey American Water is not intentionally discontinuing water service. Our external affairs team is working on a media advisory that will contain this same message.
